Stronger Together. Get Ready, Florida & California!

Last week, our Wellness Wednesday focused on breast cancer awareness; from the power of prevention and early detection to the importance of showing up for those we love. But this journey is far from over. It’s deeply personal for many of us, and every step we take reminds us why this mission matters.

Over the weekend, we had the honor of walking alongside my sister-in-law, a 12-year breast cancer survivor in Palm Desert for the "Paint El Paso Pink" Breast Cancer Walk. Her story is a reminder that with faith, support, and community, healing is possible and thriving is real.

When God Says Yes…

I wanted to take a moment to share the back story of our Florida Breast Cancer Walk. Originally, the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk in Florida was scheduled for October 18, but due to a scheduling conflict with the arena and the Florida Panthers, the date was moved. This was very upsetting....

But God! 🙌🏾

With the encouragement from many of you, that shift created space for us to step forward in faith and host our very own in-person breast cancer wellness event/walk and dove release. It was never a part of our original plan but it has lite a fire under us and our hope is that this will be the first of many. We are looking forward to bringing this same experience to California at some point.

Now, we’re stepping boldly into this new chapter , creating a space where our community can come together to honor those we’ve lost, support those still fighting, celebrate survivors, and raise awareness for prevention and early detection.

We are so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share the video and highlights from this powerful event with you next week.

Get ready, Florida! This Saturday, October 18, we’re inviting you, your family, and your friends to be part of a moment that’s so much more than a walk.

This will be our first-ever in-person breast cancer wellness event and dove release. A heartfelt experience dedicated to honoring every part of the cancer journey:

    •    🕊 For those we’ve lost- we remember you.

    •    🕊 For those still fighting - we stand with you.

    •    🕊 For those newly diagnosed - you are not alone.

    •    🕊 For survivors - we celebrate your strength.

    •    🕊 For the future - we believe in a world where no one has to fight this battle alone

Would you like us to honor someone special? If there’s a name you’d like to be read during our dove release ceremony, whether it’s a loved one who’s passed, someone currently in the fight, or a survivor — please email or text us their name. We’d be honored to include them in this powerful moment of remembrance and hope.

Join Us, Your Presence Matters

Whether you walk with us, cheer from the sidelines, or simply show up, your presence makes a difference. This is about unity, community, and hope. There are still two events to join, we are stronger together.

📍 Florida: Join us for our first-ever in-person breast cancer wellness walk and dove release on Saturday, October 18. We have sent details for everyone who have registered. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones to experience a day of reflection, celebration, and healing as we honor every part of the cancer journey.

📍 California: And to our West Coast community: We’re walking with you too! Meet us on Saturday, October 25 at the Santa Monica Pier for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Together, we’ll walk for those we’ve lost, celebrate survivors, and stand strong with those still fighting.

Day of Walk

    •    The walk will officially begin at 9:30 AM.

    •    Participants may arrive as early as 8:00 AM.

    •    We will gather at 8:45 AM to distribute shirts prior to the start of the race.
